What happens when ATL Workshops services my car?
When you bring your car to ATL Workshops we feel that it is important you understand the work that we will be carrying out and why.
Why should I service my vehicle?
Having your car serviced on a regular basis helps it run at its optimum performance, improves efficiency and reliability and saves fuel. This decreases the lifespan of the vehicle, increases the chance of a breakdown and could make your vehicle unreliable leading to a possible increase in repair costs.
What service options are available?
All servicing is carried out with manufacturer requirements based on mileage or age.
What is involved in a vehicle service?
The checks on your vehicle are dependent upon the manufacturer’s recommended service schedule. Items that are routinely checked within a service include;
- Windscreen Wipers
- Fluid Levels
- Brake Pipes, Pads and Shoes
- Suspension Dampers
- Fuel Filter
- Clutch Cable
- Spark Plugs
- Fan Belt
- Engine Oil
- Body Work Inspection
- Tyre Condition
- Exhaust Emissions
Getting your Service Book stamped
Once a vehicle has been successfully serviced your service book will be stamped and details of the service can be added. This helps to demonstrate ‘the car’s full history’ and may help to improve your car’s value when you come to sell it.
What are the costs involved?
As every vehicle has different requirements due to its age, condition and manufacturer’s schedule, we at ATL Workshops aim to give you quality work, with safety as standard at reasonable prices. We do have a fixed price service list as a guide, we will ensure that everything listed for replacement by the manufacturer is replaced, but we will also give you honest feedback as to any additional work that needs completing either now or in the future – we will never complete additional work without your authority. We are happy to show you any areas of concern on your vehicle – just ask. All old components can be kept for customer inspection if required.
